Team Manager CHAMP!
Chapter 35
“OH! IT’S SO EARLY!” Natalie moaned when Dennis’s alarm rang.
“We’ve got a long drive ahead of us,” Dennis said. “Come on, sleepyhead. We need to get on the road.” Lana moaned and rolled over.
“Kiss?”
“Just a kiss. Come on, love. We need to get moving.”
“’K.”
The sleepy teens got out of bed, loaded the coolers with frozen casseroles and packed the car. Lana got shotgun for the first leg and Natalie rode in back. Dennis checked to make sure everyone was buckled and ready, then put the car in gear to head out. As soon as they were out of town, Natalie called Amy.
“We’re on our way,” Natalie said when Amy answered. “Can’t wait to see you tonight.”
“We’re going out for breakfast and then hitting the road. We have about a hundred miles to go, so we don’t need to rush. We can’t check in until two o’clock,” Amy said.
“Oh my! What will three horny girls do until then?” Natalie giggled.
“Well, um… Maybe we won’t hit the road just as soon as we’ve eaten. It is awfully early,” Amy said. “Love you, Nat. And Lana and Dennis. From all three of us.”
“Love you, too, babe. Kiss those girls really good for me.”
Natalie disconnected and the crew was off. Dennis drove, stopping only briefly at a rest area, until they reached Albert Lea, Minnesota, nearly four hours later. Everyone needed a break and Dennis took the opportunity to put gas in the car. They stocked up with coffee and sandwiches and Natalie took over driving. Dennis motioned Lana to stay in the front seat as navigator and he got in back to get some rest. Natalie drove for a little more than two hours, until they were northwest of Minneapolis. She pulled in for a potty break and the kids grabbed some snacks for in the car before Dennis took over driving again. Natalie got shotgun and the navigation responsibility while Lana drifted off to sleep in the back seat.
When she woke up, Lana took their bearings and called Amy. Lana and Amy were designated as non-drivers and the contact point between the two groups so calls could be made without worrying about who was driving.
“Hey, baby. We’re following you,” Lana said.
“Right now? How close are you?” Amy asked.
“Oh, we’re not right behind you. I don’t think. We’re just coming through the town of… uh… Princeton.”
“You’re making great time. That’s where we stopped for the night last night. We’re only about two hours ahead of you. It looks like we have another half-hour or forty-five minutes to get to the cabin. We just stopped for a snack in Grand Rapids,” Amy said.
“We plan to get gas there, so we have a full tank when we get to the cabin.”
“Don’t eat too much snack food. We’ll go up to the cabin and get dinner started.”
“That’s great. Love you guys and miss you. It’s been a long drive,” Lana said.
“Yeah. My tushy needs some tender loving care tonight,” Amy laughed. “See you soon!”
“’Bye, love.”
Lana disconnected and leaned forward as far as she could without disconnecting her seatbelt.
“This is where they stayed last night. They’re only about two hours ahead of us. Amy says they’ll get dinner started so not to fill up on snack food.”
“I hope they remember to follow the menu. Tonight is the only night we don’t have a frozen casserole,” Natalie said.
“Hotdish,” Dennis corrected her. “We’re in Minnesota now. Casseroles are called hotdishes. I’ve got a whole little book on my reader of Minnesota-isms. We might need it to translate from the natives.”
“Oh, seriously!” Natalie said.
“Ya sure, y’betcha,” Lana said. “Don’t forget, I’m half Swedish. Mom says that all the Scandinavians who were on their way to Seattle got tired of the trip and stayed in Minnesota.”
“It sure is pretty enough,” Natalie sighed. “I can’t believe the Kellys left this area and moved to Iowa.”
“According to Lyle, it’s almost summer here. He’s the one who pointed me to the book,” Dennis laughed. “He had all kinds of jokes about Norwegian bachelor farmers and Minnesotans. Ole and Lena are like national heroes up here. The thing is that this part of the state has so many lakes it’s a tossup to tell if you’re on an island surrounded by water or a lake surrounded by land. But you are right. It sure is pretty.”
“I’ve never seen so many pine trees and birch. It’s like we left the oak and maple when we left Minneapolis,” Lana said.
“I reckon we’re up north now.”
They stopped only long enough in Grand Rapids to get fuel and use the bathrooms, then they excitedly got back in the car for the last thirty miles to the cabin.
“You’re here!” Amy yelled as she rushed out the door to meet the new arrivals. “Isn’t it beautiful?”
“You sure are, lover,” Dennis said, picking her up and spinning around. He kissed her soundly. By that time, Ardith and Brenda were hugging Natalie and Lana. They joined the others and soon Dennis had Ardith in his arms. He looked in her eyes and saw her smile. That was all the encouragement he needed to close for a long and sensuous kiss.
“There’s time, love. We don’t have to rush now,” he said as he moved to hug and kiss Brenda.
Everyone got busy and unloaded the RAV4, packing the freezer full of casseroles. They put their packs in the ‘clothing room’ and all headed for the country kitchen.
“Mmm. Something sure smells good,” Lana said.
“It should,” Ardith said. “It’s your mother’s recipe. We picked up all the ingredients in Grand Rapids.”
“Wait till we show you the dock and the boat,” Brenda said as they gathered. “Mrs. Luoma said we’re almost at the solstice and the sun doesn’t go down until nearly nine-thirty tonight.”
“Wow! Long evenings enjoying the out-of-doors,” Dennis said.
“Early mornings, too. It rises before five-thirty,” Brenda laughed.
“I’m glad we’ve practiced making love in the daylight,” Lana said.
“Practice? You called that practice?” Dennis asked, chasing her once around the huge farm table. Then she stopped and let him catch her. They kissed.
“I was talking about Amy and me,” she giggled.
“Yeah. Please practice with me some more. I think I’m getting the hang of it,” Amy said as she started moving pans from the stove to the table. Ardith put a big salad bowl on the table and Brenda already had plates and utensils out.
“This is our first time all together,” Dennis said. “I don’t know about blessings much, but I know when I’m thankful and I love each person at this table to the depth of my soul.”
“Amen,” the others all said in response. The noodles and Swedish meatballs were fantastic and the salad had a variety of fresh greens and other vegetables that were available when the girls stopped in Grand Rapids. The meal was light and lively, as they all used food as a way to get comfortable in their new environment.
As soon as the meal had ended, they all helped get the dishes done.
“I’ve got breakfast in the morning,” Dennis said as he looked at the list on the refrigerator. “Tomorrow dinner is Nat’s surprise hot dish. We should get it out of the freezer and in the refrigerator now. I’m glad we labeled all these things.”
“What’s lunch?”
“Tuna salad sandwiches, chips, and finger veggies. We can all help fix our own and clean up.”
“And what about now?” Lana asked, rocking on her toes and heels. Her hands were locked behind her back and she looked devilishly innocent.
“Now we get to go to the dock,” Brenda said. “Um… you might want to spray some bug stuff on you. There were thousands when we went down earlier today.”
“Oh, good. Lyle said the Minnesota state bird was the mosquito,” Dennis laughed.
They sprayed repellent on each other and headed down to the water.
“It’s so pretty,” Natalie said. “I think I’m repeating myself. Everywhere I look it’s just so pretty.”
As they walked, Dennis found himself holding hands with Ardith. It had started on the steps when he just automatically turned to her to steady her as they went down. They just didn’t let go. It was a feeling they both found pleasing. They weren’t trying to be passionate or sexy, nor were they forced to maintain distance between them. It was a simple expression of love.
“I could definitely get into a trip in a rowboat,” Lana said. “It sounds so romantic.”
“It is if you’re not the one rowing,” Dennis snickered. “On the other hand, if you were in the stern in one of your bikinis, I wouldn’t mind rowing in the least.”
“Bikini or not, remember you have to have life jackets. Mrs. Luoma recommended we sit on them,” Ardith said.
“I like the sound of the ‘or not.’ If Lana were sitting in the stern not entirely in one of her bikinis, I wouldn’t even mind rowing,” Brenda said.
The six of them settled at the kitchen table with a game of Clue spread out in front of them. It was more to have something to do while they ate their pie and ice cream than it was to test how good they were in solving the mystery. They talked about how the week had gone before they arrived and what kind of activities they’d like to do while they were in northern Minnesota.
“I hear they’ve got a big statue of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox in Bemidji. Is that far from here?” Lana asked.
“If we drive somewhere, will we need to take two cars?”
“We can’t legally fit six in the RAV because there are only five seatbelts.”
“Same for my little car. I guess that means we have to take two cars,” Brenda said.
“We’ll have to do that game my parents talked about,” Lana said. “Whenever we come to a stop sign or traffic light, everyone jumps out of the car and runs to a different seat.”
“That might work in some areas, but I’d hate to try it in Minneapolis,” Ardith said. “Even the freeway was crowded. And we weren’t even there during rush hour.”
“Is there a rush hour in Bemidji?”
Ultimately, they decided that they’d save a road trip until Monday and make a circuit that included the headwaters of the Mississippi and the Paul Bunyan statue. But mostly, they’d all had too much car riding on the way up to be excited about spending another day in the car before they had to go back home.
“I think we need a full disclosure time,” Natalie said. “We’ve all followed the three basic rules since we started seeing each other. No means no. Not without protection. Never in front of the kids—or parents. But we’re kind of starting a new phase in our lives. We all agreed to get tested this past week. Mine came out clean, I’m happy to say. I find it really hard to use protection when I’m licking out a girlfriend. As for birth control, I’m on it and the doctor says it’s working fine.”
“What kind of birth control do you use, Natalie?” Ardith asked.
“I go in to Planned Parenthood every three months and get the shot. I knew I’d mess up if I went on the pill and I wasn’t sure about the IUD or implant,” Natalie said. “My last shot was in mid-May. So I’ve got until mid-August before I need another. I get a reminder emailed to me and the date is already on my calendar. Oh. And in the past forever, the only boy I’ve had sex with, protected or not, is Dennis. There are eleven girls I’ve messed around with and three of them are at this table.”
“Okay,” Brenda said. “My test was negative for all STDs and AIDS. I was told I needed to take an iron supplement. Apparently, I don’t eat enough meat. I have the implant here in my arm. It’s good for three years and I had mine renewed this year. My sexual history is a bit more involved than most of you. I had sex with a total of six boys before I finally got out of cheerleading and into basketball. Since then, I’ve only been with Dennis and the same girls the rest of you have been with, except Ardith. I’ve definitely been with Ardith.”
“And you don’t need to worry about the iron deficiency. Take the supplement. It’s not uncommon for female athletes to use up more than they take in,” Ardith said. “And yes, you’ve definitely been with me. And I love it. My test was negative. I have an IUD and had it renewed for five years a year after I came to Bartley. Before coming to Bartley, I had sex with one man and one woman with whom I lived for two years in college. I haven’t been with a man since and only with Brenda, and as of last night, with Amy. I’m probably a little behind all of you when it comes to sex. But… Well, I’m looking forward to catching up.”
“I don’t have any birth control,” Dennis said. “If it’s needed or there’s any concern, I have three boxes of condoms with me.” They all laughed and counted noses.
“I don’t know, Dennis. That would only make it seven times for each of us in a week. We might have to make a trip to Grand Rapids,” Amy laughed.
“Well, I did have my test and it was negative,” Dennis continued. “I went to the college clinic in Boone. It was a little embarrassing, but apparently, they do a lot of tests and counseling. Um… I’ve been with eight women. You know them and four are at the table right now. The others are Judith, Tori, and Natalie’s sisters. I think at one time or another, I slipped up without using a condom with each of you. I never use a condom with Lana. Um… There was some degree of digital or oral sex with each of the other girlfriends when we were all together.”
“Wow! Talk about embarrassing. Gransy took me to Planned Parenthood and I got my test and checked on my implant. It’s all good,” Amy said. “I fooled around some with the other girlfriends when we were all together, but somehow, I mostly only had sex with those here. Dennis has been the only guy in me, thanks to my brother and his friends all getting themselves killed.”
“You okay, baby?” Ardith asked, putting a hand on Amy. Amy leaned against her and hugged. She nodded.
“Um… I guess that leaves little old me,” Lana said.
“Love you, hon,” Dennis said. She smiled at him.
“Dennis is and will always be my only man,” Lana stated strongly. “Um… When I decided to become a cheerleader, Fru Elsa took me to a doctor and got me on an implant immediately. She went with me last week to get it renewed. My test was all negative. I hung around naked a lot with the other girlfriends, but really the only ones I can say I’ve had sex with are in this room. I hope I can say the same about each of you that I said about Dennis. I’m all in and don’t ever want any other lover than those sitting at this table.”
Dennis held his arms open and Lana settled into his lap as they kissed.
“Oh,” Lana said, turning to the others. She found them all in some stage of kissing. “I’ve never used a condom with Dennis and never intend to. When we’re ready for children, I’ll go off birth control. If something happened accidentally before then and I was in the 1%, I’d deal with it. But if you lick my pussy after I’ve been with Dennis, you’ll get a mouthful of come.”
That got a few laughs and they continued their game until Brenda declared, “Mrs. White in the ballroom with the rope.” No one could prove her wrong and the envelope revealed she was correct.
Getting ready for bed was a little awkward as each tried to figure out how they should behave now that they were all together. There were two bathrooms, which was a big improvement from Dennis’s house. He was waiting his turn when Ardith came out of the bathroom.
Naked.
“Um… uh… Sorry!” he stammered.
“Love, you don’t need to be sorry. I dressed this way on purpose. I want you to see me. Kiss me. Hold me,” she said.
Dennis wrapped his arms around Ardith, feeling her skin pressed up against his. He’d only put on a pair of sweats, not really knowing what else to do. Ardith’s bare breasts against his chest told him he made the right decision. He held her and kissed her as they ran their hands over each other’s backs and butts. She slid her hands into his sweats so she could hold him by the buns. Hers were easily available to him. When they pulled away to look at each other, both were panting.
“Oh, God, Ardith! You are every bit as beautiful as I thought you were.”
“I like what I have in my arms, too,” she said. “It doesn’t mean we need to make love tonight, but it means you don’t need to keep your hands off me or try not to look at me. I love you and I want to be one of the crew. Your crew, Dennis.”
They kissed again and she slipped out of his embrace to go join the girls in the bedroom.
Dennis took a quick shower, attempting to will his erection down. It was apparent that it had a mind of its own. He shaved and used deodorant. Then he carried his sweats to the bedroom.
The girls were all sitting on the bed, all as naked as Ardith and him.
“We didn’t really want to get anything started without you,” Natalie said. “We’re just chatting. Come on and join us. I don’t think this bed is as big as yours, but we can sleep in layers.”
“I really want to get involved in something, but I’m afraid I’ll go to sleep now. It was really a long day on the road,” Dennis said.
“Oh, good!” Amy said. “Come over to this side of the bed and you can rub my tushy a little before we go to sleep. You know how I like to have it rubbed.”
“Rub it well,” Natalie snickered. “How about if we drag the other mattress in here. We’ll have more room to spread out then.” She and the other three women ran to the other bedroom to collect the mattress, which involved moving several packs and clothing from the bed first. Then they wrestled the mattress into the bigger bedroom and shoved it down on the floor.
By the time they were finished, Dennis and Amy were spooned together, nearly asleep. Only the slight movements of their hips betrayed that they were joined together with his cock in her ass.
“She really likes that,” Brenda whispered to Ardith. “I like to play there a little, but I can’t take it all like she can.” Brenda turned to look at Ardith and discovered her in a deep kiss with Natalie. Before she could move to join them, Lana was in her arms and kissing her.
“Haven’t seen you for a few days, lover,” Lana whispered to her. “Love me?”
“Oh, you bet I will,” Brenda said. “Come on. Dennis and Amy left us room on the bed. And we don’t have to stay in the same sleeping position all night, if you know what I mean.”
Lana grinned and before long she was lost in the loving arms of her girlfriend.
