WE FELL ASLEEP a hot, sweaty tangle. We woke up the same way.

I’ve discovered that while we enjoy sex in any way at any time, we each have favorites. For example, Melody likes to make love at night when we’ve showered and are in bed. In an hour we need to shower again in order to rinse off the sweat. Sometimes we don’t make it back to the shower and wake up stuck to each other.

Lissa likes to make slow, luxurious love when she first wakes up and is in that stage of half-dreaming.

I prefer any time and any way.

But that explains why seconds after waking up, Lissa had begun to rub her butt against my morning wood, and why, by the time Melody cuddled up behind me and draped an arm over me to reach Lissa’s breast, I was already up to my balls in Lissa.

Have I mentioned just how much I love being sandwiched between my lovers? I suppose I have.

We were talking, laughing, kissing, and just lazily moving together. Occasionally, Melody’s hand would leave Lissa’s breast—only to be replaced by mine when Lissa complained—to push between my legs and squeeze my balls or tickle Lissa’s clit.

“Good morning! I heard voices, so I made coffee and thought I’d bring it to you in bed,” Kate said as she came through the door.

We all froze.

I was right at that point where I could feel my heartbeat in my cock because I was so close, and Melody’s finger was pressed firmly against Lissa’s clit. I don’t think Kate had the least idea what was going on beneath the thin sheet that separated us from her view.

“I think I got them right. Lissa’s is with cream, Tony is black espresso with a little water, and Melody’s is with cream and sugar. You guys look so cute cuddled up together.”

She leaned over and kissed Lissa on the cheek, then me, and then Melody. Melody had one hand on Lissa’s clit, but the other was buried in her own pussy. When Kate reached across to kiss Melody, Lissa and I rolled toward her a little. Both Melody’s hands twitched and she and Lissa practically rose off the bed as they came, trying desperately to stifle their screams. The feeling of Lissa clamping down on my cock as she came sent me over the edge and I’m sure I must have looked like I was spastic as the jolts went through my body.

“Are you guys, okay?” Kate asked. She looked at us and her mouth fell open as she realized what she’d just witnessed. “Oh! Oh my… You were… I’m so… Oh my!” She turned to leave, but I found my voice before she got to the door.

“Kitten, you don’t need to leave. Nothing more is going to happen.” Lissa squeezed down on me again. “I think. You might as well come join us for morning coffee. You brought yourself a cup, too, didn’t you?”

“Mmm… yes? Is it okay? I didn’t mean…”

“Kate that was very sweet of you,” Lissa said. “You can interrupt us anytime. We really don’t mind.”

“Really? I’ve never seen anyone… I mean people…”

“You didn’t really see much this time,” I said, gasping in a deep breath as my cock shriveled out of Lissa. “You know, I think that’s the first time we ever… um… had anyone else in the room… um… when… Well, that was interesting… and a little exciting.”

I rolled to my back and pushed myself up to a seated position as Kate handed me my coffee and I gave her a kiss. I took a sip. I swear; the next best thing to an orgasm in my lover is my first sip of coffee in the morning. Having it right after such an intense experience just sent me into a daydream. Before I knew it, Melody was propped up beside me and had her legs over mine. She took her candy drink, kissed Kate, and seemed to go into her own fantasy world. Lissa pushed herself up against the two of us and pulled her legs up next to me. She took her time kissing Kate before she took her cup of coffee. The sheet had fallen away, but none of us cared as we savored that first sip of coffee.

“Oh, Kitten,” I sighed. “This is wonderful.”

“It is wonderful,” she said. “You have to stay right there. Just wait.”

Kate ran out of the room and we threw each other a puzzled look. It was only enough time for Kate to reach her room and return. She threw open the door and ran back to the bed. She crawled up on the edge of the bed with a sketchpad and pencil box, shifted her position once, and started drawing. I realized we were in the position I’d described to Kate and asked her to sketch. There was no posing. We were just there. She worked for about twenty minutes and our coffee cups were empty when I realized it was morning and I needed a potty break.

“Kitten,” I said. “We’re going to have to take a break. I have to use the bathroom.”

“Just a minute!”

She reached in her art box and pulled out a small camera and quickly clicked off half a dozen photos, moving in close to turn the camera toward each of us.

“Okay. Five-minute break, models. Then we need to get back to work.”

“Coffee was nice,” Melody grumbled as she beat me to the toilet, “but I sure better get breakfast out of this!”

I politely let Lissa go in next. None of us had bothered to put any clothes on, but Kate had seen us all naked before. She’s an artist.

“Don’t touch your hair!” she shouted at Melody as she came out of the bathroom.

“But I’ve got bedhead,” Melody complained.

“It’s perfect,” Kate said. “Really. It’s just perfect.”

We all got back in bed and arranged ourselves in the positions we had been in before nature called. Kate looked at the reference shots, made a couple of adjustments, and then handed us our coffee cups.

Then she surprised us.

“I need to get closer, so please try not to move much while I get in position. Be good and I’ll make more coffee at the next break and cook for you all when we’re finished.”

We agreed and Kate crawled up beside us. Kate has a really interesting style. When Melody, Sandra, Amy, and Kate took their turns sketching for Rhapsody Suite, the other three girls drew the entire scene. Kate drew only my eyes and nose. It was that charcoal sketch that connected the Suite and showed the connection among the pieces. She’s really into detail and left to her own devices will only draw small items, but very big.

Once she was settled in, she focused on Lissa and began to draw. Lissa was happy to be the center of Kate’s focus, even though I knew Kate was seeing highlights, shadows, curves, and lines, and not the loving gaze that Lissa cast on her.

When that sketch was done, she adjusted her position just a little, and then turned to Melody. Melody was just as excited about being Kate’s focus as Lissa had been, and I was looking forward to being the one she was looking at.

When she was finished, she turned to me. I realized then what had caught Lissa and Melody in such a fantasy.

Kate smiled at me.

I wanted to throw myself at her. That smile. I knew that I had to be smiling back when she bent to the fresh sheet of drawing paper in front of her. I’ve never been tested, but I’ve long suspected that I have some kind of photographic memory. It’s not like I can remember everything I’ve read. That’s different and has to do with comprehension. But if I study a scene for a while, I remember everything about it.

Kate, on the other hand, I suspect could do the same thing instantly. She had never said anything about it, but I noticed that after that brief moment of eye contact and brilliant smile, she bent to her paper and scarcely looked up as she drew.

It had been half an hour and our cold, empty coffee cups were beginning to shake in our hands when Kate closed her sketchbook and said, “That’s all.”

Kate threw the sketchbook behind her and wiggled in just a little closer to us. In this position, she could lean against me while touching both Melody and Lissa.

“This is such a nice position,” Kate sighed. “I feel so at home.”

“You know,” Melody said, “you’re the only one with a stitch of clothing on. You could join us.”

“Oh. Yeah, I suppose so. Maybe when Tony is ready to draw us. I need to go make coffee and breakfast for my… hmm… what am I going to call you?”

She slipped off the bed and picked up our dishes to go to the kitchen. We all showered, dressed, and met her there fifteen minutes later.

We had a great time at the ballgame. It was cloudy and cooler than August had been lately. There was a bit of a breeze, but more than 3,000 of us cheered for a team we hardly knew and couldn’t name a single member of. And the Everett Aquasox won against the Tri-City Dust Devils six to four. In spite of the clouds, we made sure that we’d completely covered all exposed skin on each other with sunblock. You can’t trust a cloudy day.

We ran and got peanuts and cokes, joked about being sports fans, and cheered ourselves hoarse. We ate at the Crocodile Café after the game and then convinced Kate that she should stay over Saturday night. We just sat on the deck, laughing and reliving the day. About midnight, we all went to bed after Kate had kissed us each soundly and promised to knock before she came in on Sunday morning with the newspaper and coffee.

And Sunday morning was great! We were on our best behavior and we each even had T-shirts and underwear on when Kate knocked on the door and brought coffee in. We were a little surprised when she came in wearing just a T-shirt and panties, but she brought the coffee tray to the bed and wiggled in to her position with the three of us.

“Mmm. I could get used to starting my day like this,” Melody said after Kate had kissed each of us good morning.

“I love having you cuddle with us in the morning,” Lissa said.

“Where are the comics?” I asked. I was tickled in response.

“Hey, I was wondering if I could ask you all something,” Kate said as we tried to brush the toast crumbs out of the bed with little success. Lissa finally growled something about it being time to wash the sheets and we all stripped the bed. We finally landed in the living room—still in what passed for pajamas—and got around to Kate’s question.

“What did you want to ask us?” Lissa said.

“Well, two things really. I wanted to know if Melody would go out with me next Saturday. I’d like to go explore Bainbridge Island. I hear there’s a really neat café in Winslow and a big park to explore. Would you go out with me next Saturday, Mel?”

“Of course I will. I just wish it was tomorrow!” Melody said. “Except that if the lease is approved, I need to order fabric and get it shipped and start setting things up in the studio this week.”

“Maybe I can help one evening,” Kate said. “But there’s one other thing, and it’s a little more significant than just a day trip to Bainbridge.” We all looked at her expectantly, but she wouldn’t meet any of our eyes. “I was wondering if… well… if I could borrow Tony for a weekend.”

“What?” I exclaimed.

“It’s just… wait… I didn’t get it out right. I need to visit my family before classes start and… I kind of told them… I sort of had a… boyfriend. It was before we started dating and… I wouldn’t even… if it weren’t for…” Things were falling apart.

“Family meeting,” I said.

I flopped in the recliner and motioned Kate to the other easy chair. Melody and Lissa sat on the sofa.

“Now, take a deep breath and tell us exactly what you want. Take your time. We aren’t going anywhere.”

“Well, it started before I really got to know you, last winter. When I went home, some of the moms and dads didn’t want me to come back. I’m sorry. You don’t understand. I was raised in a commune. We live out in the boondocks and share everything. It gets complicated. I told them I didn’t want to leave school because I had a boyfriend and if they tried to make me stay I’d just run away. I didn’t have to because my mom is really independent and loaded me in the car the day after Christmas to catch the train back here to Seattle.”

“Geez, Kate. You mean you were here all alone over New Years?” Melody asked. “I’m so sorry.”

“It was better than being home, I guess. It was a little creepy being the only one in the dorm. I kind of had to sneak in.”

“Oh man! That’s terrible.”

“Never mind. That was before I knew you all. If anything like that happened now, I’d know enough to call my… I’ve got to make a name for you that means two girlfriends and a boyfriend… Believe me I would ask if I could stay with you. I love you, you know?”

That was too much. The nice orderly family meeting just went to hell and we dragged Kate out of the chair and all cuddled on the sofa.

“Tell us what you need, Kitten,” I said.

“I really want to see my family again, but I’m afraid that if I go alone they won’t let me come back. So, I thought if Tony just went with me as my boyfriend, it would be easy because if things got crazy, we could just leave.”

I could see that both Lissa and Melody had a crease in their brows. Kate noticed it, too.

“Please don’t think that I want Tony to be my boyfriend. Not without you. But I don’t think it would work that well for all four of us to show up the first time. I just want to see my mom and then come back to Seattle. I wouldn’t do anything with Tony that I wouldn’t do with both Melody and Lissa. I love all three of you. I love you so much my heart is bursting. Damn it! I wasn’t ever going to say that until… I mean it, but please don’t… Oh god, I’m making such a mess of things.”

If a conductor with a baton had been guiding us, we couldn’t have all taken one deep breath and let it out at the same time more on cue.

“I trust you, Kitten,” Melody said. “And I love you. Just letting our feelings out doesn’t mean we’re going to put any kind of pressure on you, though. We’re all enjoying this courting thing as much as you are. The journey is as much fun as the destination, sweetheart.”

“Kate, look at me,” Lissa said. The two came face to face. Lissa kissed her softly. “I love you, Kitten. I have for weeks. I’m really having fun dating and you are just a joy to me.”

“Kitten,” I said. I held out my arms and she leaned into me so I could hug her. We’d all slid off the sofa onto the floor and a hug from one person only involved leaning toward that person a little more. “I love you. I’ll go with you. And just like always, we will only do what we are sharing with all of us. Is that okay with you?”

“Yes.” Tears were trickling down Kate’s cheeks. “Except that… It’s a holiday.”

“What?”

“Mom asked me to come for Labor Day before school starts. It’s kind of to celebrate my birthday.”

“When’s your birthday?” Melody asked. I couldn’t believe she hadn’t found out this tidbit before me.

“Same as mine,” I said. “We’re birthday twins. The nineteenth.”

“We are going to have such a party!” Lissa said.

“It’s okay?”

“Yes, it’s okay, you silly goose. I feel like we should all go and just tell them they can’t have you,” Lissa said.

“If you wanted,” Melody added.

“Oh, I do want, but… I really love my family. They’re a little scary sometimes, but they’ve all taken care of me since I was born. And you’d really like my mom. She’s… unusual. But I can’t just take a raiding party in and challenge them. If Tony’s with me, there won’t be any problem and then I can come back and go on with school.”

“It’s a deal,” I said. “You can borrow me for Labor Day Weekend.”
