The Model Student Series—6 Books

Six volume set of Model Student

“Great long read with fantastic sex scenes throughout.”

Tony Ames is a Nebraska boy who pursues his dream of becoming a great artist by going to the Pacific College of Art and Design in Seattle. It only takes a few days, though, for Tony to begin sinking into a dark depression. He’d made a mistake. He should never have come. He was a talentless fraud. He was going to quit and go back to the cornfields where he belonged.

In these six volumes, we are given a sensitive view into the victories and losses of a young artist as he struggles to realize his dream. That struggle brings him multiple partners to share his bed and deep love for each of the women in his life. Lively fellow-student and first lover, Melody. Former model and racquetball coach, Lissa. Naïve and talented classmate, Kate. Abused and submissive tiger, Wendy. Together they find a way to establish a household, love each other, and have fun along the way.

Originally released as three serials at StoriesOnline.net, the stories have been downloaded over 400,000 times and have garnered a score of over 8.80/10 from readers. The released paperback and eBook versions have been significantly edited to improve the storyline and readability since that first online draft. This is a series you will want to own, if for no other reason than the beautiful covers.

“Excellent, some of the best work I’ve ever read on SOL.”

Mural (Model Student Book 1)

Fighting depression freshman year.

Freshman Tony Ames thinks going to an art school will mean all he has to do is paint. It only takes a few days to discover how wrong he is and how incompetent he feels. The work is boring and tedious. Everyone else seems so together. But Tony is alone. And lonely. He should never have moved 1,500 miles from his Nebraska home.

The high spot of his week is playing racquetball with champion and former fashion model Lissa. But the endorphins only lift his spirits for a couple hours a week, and Lissa is way out of his league. He decides not to return for second semester but when Melody, his secret crush in Figure Drawing, suggests that he model for the class when the day’s subject fails to show up, things slowly begin to change for Tony.

When Lissa decides to help get Tony and Melody together, and the college decides he’s perfect for a new program they are launching, Tony’s life threatens to spiral out of control.

If only he could capture what he felt on canvas.

Or on a forty-foot mural!

“The story draws you in. If you are even the slightest bit left-brained, you will find the characters plausible, and likeable. You will be on edge to find out what happens and the adrenaline will surge as it builds to the next installment.’

Rhapsody Suite (Model Student Book 2)

Coping with fame as an artist.

Life has improved for Tony Ames as he nears the end of his freshman year at the prestigious Pacific College of the Arts and Design. Why would he be depressed? He has two beautiful girlfriends and new-found notoriety as an artist after painting just a section of a huge mural at the school.

But the first day after finishing his stunning mural, he discovers he is even further behind in his school work, and his girlfriend/coach Lissa Grant is so upset about her nude figure in the mural that she wants to break up with Tony and their mutual girlfriend, Melody Anderson.

Add the stress of his first college racquetball tournament, injury, more girls who make it perfectly clear they want to ‘model’ for him, Lissa’s two little boys, and a parental ‘off the wall’ reaction to his painting, and Tony is back to fighting for his sanity and the women he loves.

Into this mix walks shy and innocent Kate Holsinger, a girl they might all three come to love. And also, someone who might just be a better artist than Tony is.

Freshman year isn’t over yet!

“Of the series this is my favorite novel. I like the way the author acknowledges teenage struggles with depression, personal self worth, isolation and sexual awareness. As a college freshman Tony manages his struggle through his art and a set of physical outlets—racquetball and sex. Of course, the friendship and love of his two companions provides the heart of the book‘s charm to me. I was very caught up in the actual scene that this novel is named after. You will have to read it to appreciate it.”

Diva (Model Student Book 3)

Raquetball, sex, and the single artist.

Freshman year is over and Tony survived. Art critic, Bob Bowers, is reviewing his new masterwork at the PCAD gala and everything seems right with the world. Until four little words throw everything into chaos. “Mommy, I feel sick.”

When Damon and Drew are hit with the bug, it changes Tony’s plans for the national racquetball tournament and the entire summer. All the parents are supposed to meet each other at the tournament and get to know the trio.

The change puts Tony in the same hotel room as Allison Perkins, the racquetball-playing diva from Kansas State. And Tony has his girlfriends’ permission to enjoy her many charms ...after he finishes the tournament.

It’s okay, but is it right?

Tony and his lovers can only find the true answer when he puts paint on the canvas.

“The best parts are the internal emotional changes that Tony goes through. I found the description of his development while painting and playing raquetball very well done.”

Triptych (Model Student Book 4)

Cover of Triptych

When two lovers become three.

Summertime and the livin’ is… getting more complicated all the time.

Tony discovers that having two wives and two children means far more responsibility than he ever anticipated. Having a successful art showing means commissions and more shows. Having a new business means balancing family, art, work, and school. Having an athletic scholarship means promoting the sport and getting others involved. Having Kate means…

Oh, Kate!

Kate is courting Tony, Melody, and Lissa—together and individually. And they adore the girl. Kate teases them along until all four are hopelessly in love. Kate will have her ‘triptych’ and they will have her.

As Tony enters his sophomore year in the new dual degree program, he finds the solution to balancing his life can only be revealed in oil on canvas.

“Tony is an interesting study, a college student with loving charms, a sharp eye and a desirable body. The author builds an unconventional relationship among Tony and the women that love him, the dialogue and sexual energy simmers the reader’s interest. The story has a refreshing framework which showcases an artist’s passion for his work and his women.”

Odalisque (Model Student Book 5)

Cover of Odalisque

A reluctant hero and true master.

It finally looks like Tony, Melody, and Lissa are going to have a “normal” year.

With Kate added into the mix. That’s normal.

Of course, there is pressure. Tony is in a new school—and his old one. New friends, new paintings, a new style, another racquetball competition. And the pressure of getting ready for their first show. He always seems to be half a step behind, but is determined to be more involved in life.

That involvement places Tony at the heart of a tragedy lessened by his presence. In the limelight, Tony and his friends are pressed into service to paint a memorial mural on the side of a building.

Tony finds himself unable to decline the commission, especially when Wendy looks to him as her hero.

And more.

Tony must find the heart and the discipline to be something he never imagined he could be.

A true master.

“I had to share the last chapter with some of my friends. When we’d read and discussed it, we bought groceries to take to the local food shelf. Thank you.”

The Prodigal (Model Student Book 6)

Cover of The Prodigal

It’s hard, but happily ever after.

“Kit… Kate? Are you all right?”
“Um… Tony… can… may I… come home? Please?”

The long nightmare had begun with a misunderstanding and then a suspicion. Finally, jealousy overwhelmed their love and Kate walked out of their lives. But now she was back. Now everything would be fine and return to normal, wouldn’t it? Now the darkness could lift.

But, of course, nothing is that easy. The layers of pain and forgiveness had to be peeled back to reveal the depth of love that lay beneath. It would take a while.

Tony didn’t have time for some things, though. His committee had informed him that he could graduate in the spring... If he could propose and complete a final project for his dual degree program.

Luckily for Tony, his muse is back.

When an archbishop threatens to derail his project and even threatens Kate’s art, Tony goes on the offensive with the same vigor that led to his racquetball championships. No one could threaten his Kitten!

The irresistible force meets the immovable object.

“It’s a very good story, with interesting themes. Especially like the mix of art and sport that share the narrative load with the extrordinay love life of the characters. It is nice that a book includes both the full love life of the characters as well as their less amorous adventures, and that it does so with such an effective balance!”
